Meet LaTawn White

With 20 plus years of experience in both federal and state court, including 10 years as an Assistant United States Attorney, LaTawn helps her clients navigate the criminal legal system with confidence and tenacity.

As a graduate of Marquette Law School, LaTawn began her legal career as a defense attorney in Wisconsin where she worked with the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s office and in private practice.

She practiced criminal defense work exclusively before joining the United States Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Texas, Brownsville Division as a federal prosecutor in 2010.

A native West Texan, LaTawn saw an opportunity to return when a position with the Western District of Texas became available and she transferred to the Midland division of the United States Attorney’s office in 2012.

As an Assistant United States Attorney in Midland, LaTawn specialized in the prosecution of large-scale drug conspiracies, fraud cases, firearms violations and child pornography cases. Between 2014 and 2019, LaTawn was chosen several times by the Department of Justice to teach other federal prosecutors trial skills.

In the summer of 2019, LaTawn decided to return to private practice and use her experience as both a defense attorney and a prosecutor to benefit state and federal clients facing criminal charges.
